UCP of San Joaquin, Calaveras & Amador Counties continues to serve the ever growing needs of children in our communities through our Clinical and Family Services program. UCP has staff trained in education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech language pathology. Many staff members have specialty certification in their chosen fields; to include assistive technology, sensory integration, Hanen, Infant Massage, Lactation Educator/Consultant and Neurodevelopmental Treatment. Our Clinical and Family Services program provides several different services. UCP contracts with Valley Mountain Regional Center to provide services to children who are eligible for their Early Start program. Great Beginnings is a grant program graciously funded by First 5 San Joaquin to provide services to children when there is a concern regarding their development but they do not qualify for state or federally funded programs. UCP also provides therapy at several local school districts. Assistive Technology services are incorporated into all programs as needed. In 2006 UCP opened the Save Mart CARES Sensory Integration Clinic through a generous grant from the S-Mart Cares Foundation with additional contributions from invaluable community partners and donors. This clinic provides the ideal surroundings to assist children in overcoming sensory processing difficulties.
